My god this album is beautiful. You really found a sweet spot between post rock, emo, and math rock that just flows so smoothly. Looking forward to hear more from you guys!
Favorite track: Asterism.
Chicago’s Haircut mixes melodic arpeggios, midwest post-rock, and emo sensibilities into a modest, and surprisingly clean-cut act. The group began in the guitar closet of Mike Kennedy’s Humboldt Park apartment, in 2016. Piecing together off-the-cuff riffs, and inspired by both their east coast 2000s adolescent home and midwest post-rock acts, Haircut attempts to create music with surprising twists and impassioned swells, all to elicit a specific feeling, that at times is indefinable as it is predictable.
